Sinker Backs Add-On for Safety Eyes

£0.50

This listing is for an additional piece that can be used with the glass bead safety eyes, or standard black safety eyes, to give them a sinker eye effect. For each item ordered you will receive 1 PAIR of sinker backs and our standard backers to use secure them.

Sinker backs are available for round, oval and teardrop shaped eyes. Round backs also work for normal round safety eyes. The size listed corresponds with the size eye that will fit the backer, it is not a measurement of the backer itself.

The piece will go at the back of the eye before you add on the normal backer. You will not need any special tools to use these backers. I have tried the backers with standard chenille yarn, acrylic yarn, and Bernat blanket yarn and have not had any issues. If you are using a jumbo size yarn you might have difficulties using these backers.

I have made a video showing show to use the backers and how to remove them if needed. This is available on my YouTube channel. To remove the eye you will have to damage the normal backer. You will always be given extra backers in case you need to remove them, or there is any faults or damage. The sinker piece will not be damaged during removal and can be reused alongside the eye.
